ICS 300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents is a 3-day, in-person training designed for mid-level emergency personnel (command/general staff) managing complex, multi-agency, or Type 3 incidents. It covers NIMS compliance, incident planning, resource management, and Unified Command. Prerequisites include ICS-100200700, and 800

Key Components and Topics

  • Incident Management: Organizing and planning for expanding incidents, including developing an Incident Action Plan (IAP).
  • Resource Management: Techniques for identifying, procuring, and tracking resources.
  • Unified Command: Establishing and operating within a multi-agency system.
  • Operational Structure: Transfer of command, staff responsibilities, and information flow.
  • Simulation: Scenario-based training to apply skills to real-world situations. 

Target Audience
This course is intended for personnel expected to function in a Command or General Staff position, Section Chiefs, Task Force Leaders, or Division/Group Supervisors
